This file explains the background for 
  Rand100_OM3.txt
  Rand400_OM3.txt

These files sample the 850 nm OM3 5000 fiber model, provided by Corning, and the 2000 TIA launches (same launch set as used for the OM2 model). Only fibers that pass the OFL bandwidth and DMD requirements and launches that satisfy the 802.3ae encircled flux launch requirements are included.

Each file/array has 3 columns; each row contains a PIE-D value, for information only), the fiber index (out of 5000), and the launch index (out of 2000). The files should be obvious by their names.

I am providing these in hopes that they are convenient groups of selected fiber and launch combinations for which to run full SFP+ system simulations.
